LAS VEGAS, NV, January 7, 2007 -- Sharp, a worldwide leader in flat-panel Liquid Crystal Televisions (LCD TVs),
is bolstering its lineup of widescreen 720p TVs with the D44U series of AQUOS® HDTVs. Available in screen
sizes of 32- and 37-inches, the D44U series offers true 16:9 1366 x 768 resolution for a high-definition
viewing experience at an affordable price.
Featuring a subtle silver accent on the front of the cabinet, the D44U series enhances the décor of any family
room, living room or den. The sleek design is available in high-gloss black with a fixed stand for easy
placement and dual stealth speakers.

The D44U series incorporates Sharp’s Advanced Super View (ASV) LCD panel which delivers a Dynamic Contrast
Ratio of 7500:1 for exceptional detail. Enhanced Quick Shoot video circuitry ensures a fast pixel response
time of 6 ms, for crisp images, even in fast-moving scenes. Wide 176-degree viewing angles on the D44U series
enable users to view the picture from almost anywhere in the room.
Inputs for the D44U AQUOS models include two HDMI™, two component HD inputs and a D-sub 15-pin connector to
use the TVs as big-screen PC monitors. The series features ATSC/NTSC and Clear QAM tuners, ensuring consumers
will receive the full spectrum of HDTV programming. The high brightness displays (450 cd/m2) and Black TFT
low-reflection coating allow for placement near bright light sources or windows without compromising picture
quality.
